Safety first.

This broke while coming out of the sweeper at ESN. Thanks to NSP for letting me borrow a wheel off their show car. And to Chad for letting me use his extra Momo wheel until I can get a new one.
Note to self: Stop buying cheap shit!

UnF-ck The Gulf

BP’s oil spill has really f–ked up the gulf. Birds, fish, dolphins & sea turtles are f–ked. Whole communities are f–ked. Together we can hold big oil accountable. Together we can unf–k the Gulf.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow. There doesn’t seem to be as much hype around this one. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. I hope he has better luck with the video than he did in WRC Rally Germany this past weekend. …

Cody Wellons’ S13 For Sale in Atlanta

Cody is looking to sell or trade his S13 hatch and move on to a new project. I’d really like to trade for a 1J/2J swapped SC300 with a manual transmission, although I may be interested in other RWD cars as well (350Z, GS300, etc).

Yep. Thats where I’ll be this weekend. We are providing them with event insurance so I’ll be there doing the ’safety’ thing, but it should still be fun. If you are in the area, come say h

Metal and Morphine

This picture sums up the last week or so…..

The beginning of the week was great!! Metallica released their new Album, “Death Magnetic”. I had no intension of buying the CD due to their first release from it. “The Day That Never Comes” was released to radio stations who made a big deal about it. The song is nothing short of fail. I didn’t care for it at all. The general consensus at that time was that Metallica needed to hang it up; they were done. But out of now where, my local radio station played a second release from the CD which was BADASSSSSSS! Amanda sat around the radio trying to figure out who it was they were playing. It sounded like Slayer and Metallica had morphed into one. We loved it! I emediatly went to the iTunes store and listened to 30sec snippets from the rest of “Death Magnetic”. I blew our mind how good it was. Finally…. finally…. Metallica had brought back the great thrash metal sound that made them famous. I won’t say its their greatest album though. Kill ‘Em All and Ride The Lightning are pretty hard to top in my opinion. But Death Magnetic is without a doubt a must buy. The album artwork alone is worth buying it.

Additionally: Death Magnetic sold over 490,000 copies in the first week. This is Metallica’s fourth #1 debut album.

So onto present time.
Pain, pain and more pain. 6 months ago I went to the dentist with an abscessed tooth. At the time I didn’t have insurance and certainly couldn’t afford the operation to have it pulled. So they gave me an antibiotic and pain killer and we played the waiting game for my insurance to kick in. Long story short, my employeer switched insurance companies during this time, which means the clock started back at zero. Thankfully the meds worked and my tooth no longer bothered me, although, I didn’t dare eat any food on that side of my mouth in fear of aggravating it. Well, that last until 4 days ago. I was eating a pizza crust at work and bam…. right on the bad tooth. Since, the tooth has become abscessed again and hurts like you wouldn’t believe. It hurts to even talk.

Well I took Friday off work and have been choking down a ton of IB Profen to help ease the pain. The good news is that I have an appointment on Tuesday at 2pm with an oral and maxillofacial surgereon. But lets getting something straight…. I HATE THE DENTIST!!!! x9032482390482039niner293084230948
I have never had a comfortable experience when sitting in their chair. They are always stabbing you with needles, small iron hooks, and making you gag on that molding gooo. All while grinning from ear to ear. So I am, in no way shape or form, looking forward to Tuesday. But I know it has to be done. Especailly since the Chinese haven’t exactly perfected the stem cell research stuff. LOL. “Hey Yen, crab me one of my extra lower palletes from the kitchen, would ya? I have a toothache.” HaHa. Ahh… would be nice. Guess I’ll have to settle for “Dentist Kevorkian”
