Safety first.

This broke while coming out of the sweeper at ESN. Thanks to NSP for letting me borrow a wheel off their show car. And to Chad for letting me use his extra Momo wheel until I can get a new one.
Note to self: Stop buying cheap shit!

UnF-ck The Gulf

BP’s oil spill has really f–ked up the gulf. Birds, fish, dolphins & sea turtles are f–ked. Whole communities are f–ked. Together we can hold big oil accountable. Together we can unf–k the Gulf.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow. There doesn’t seem to be as much hype around this one. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. I hope he has better luck with the video than he did in WRC Rally Germany this past weekend. …

Cody Wellons’ S13 For Sale in Atlanta

Cody is looking to sell or trade his S13 hatch and move on to a new project. I’d really like to trade for a 1J/2J swapped SC300 with a manual transmission, although I may be interested in other RWD cars as well (350Z, GS300, etc).

The shocks in the Corolla have been fighting a losing battle every since I bought the car. They finally gave out at the Elite Summer Nationals event.

Yep. Thats where I’ll be this weekend. We are providing them with event insurance so I’ll be there doing the ’safety’ thing, but it should still be fun. If you are in the area, come say h

Pics from Thriple Threat 2

Posted 19 Jun 2009 in Drift Events

These events just keep getting better and better. Im being an addict all over again.
The down side to it, I still suck at taking pics along the way. I took one pic of the Gran Turismo East shop when I was having them put some new rubber on the Ceterlines. But….. Im too lazy to pull the off the camera. Speaking of which, I’d like to send a HUGE thanks to Keiren and the crew at GTE. The tires and balance they put on the car made it feel like a completely different car. I actually enjoyed the 3 hour compute home after the event. Additionally, I have to send a heart filled thank you to Chad. he spent the better part of two days helping me remount and patch the exhaust so that it wouldn’t fall off again. In return for his effort, Im going to be updating his website with pics from his Datson 620 build, so keep an eye out for that.
Thank you guys <3

If you’d like to read a great write-up from the event, check out MotorMaven’s coverage. Good stuff.

Moving on… here’s a few pics of the 86 in all its glory. It drove really really well all day. The 15″ NITTO up front made a big difference on initiation. But I’d have to say the highlight of my day was when Keiren put a GTE client in my passenger seat. Turns out this client was the European Formula Ford Champion AND Formula Ford rookie of the year from a few years ago. He also raced LMP’s as well as NASCAR. It was very first experience in a drift car in which he was quite impressed with. When he found out that the 86 was only rawking 98whp, it blew his mind. LOL.  That’s right, bitches… under estimate the 86! I dare you ;)

right…. pictures……

Wes strapping in to take the 86 to the donut pit.

Petey on point.

Although the hood has drastically faded, Im starting to dig its worn-out look.

This is one of my favorite parts of an event. Everyone is packed up we get to sit around and shoot the shit. Here Im enjoying a convo with Lieze and Inappropriate Chris

All packed up and ready to go.

Petey got a lot of lens time this weekend.
