Driver Taka Aono…He did great as 5th place @ the Formula D RD 1 @ Long Beach. Now, he really wants to compete @ the Formula D Atlanta & New Jersey…

However, he became a privateer…and sadly, he won’t have enough fund to get there in this point.

Video: Touge Heroes at RedBull ’08

The first of many free films from Touge Heroes to back up the DVD series, specially for you guys. Our first episode takes us across the pond to Long Beach, USA in November 2008 where we were present for the clash of the Drift titans, with some insane cars and wrecks, this was top shelf drifting.

Formula D Atlanta 2008

It wasn’t nearly as hot as it was last year. I can back looking like Sebastian last year. This year was much more chill too. Not to mention Amanda‘s first ever FD event. Not feeling obligated to take pictures, organize a booth, construct tents or any of that jazz was very relieving. I was actually, for once, able to sit back, hang with friends, and enjoy the event. I did take a few pics which you can see [HERE] along with a few samples at the bottom of this article.

SEDA’s “La Cucaracha Dreft!?”: Recap

This past weekend SEDA hosted their 2nd event of the year at the Greenville’s Braves Stadium in Greenville, SC. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in attendance just to drive although I did get a few passes in. My main focus was to play safety stuart due to the fact that SEDA was using our (Drift411) insurance policy. Their last event certainly had some safety issues which resulted in us having to red-flag the track several times. However, Marcos (SEDA President) and his team really stepped up to the plate this time. It was well organized, good driver turn out and great weather; low 80′s, overcast with a cool breeze. Congrats to the SEDA guys…. they pulled off a good event despite the absolutely HORRIBLE surface.

I arrived Friday night, beating everyone else by a good two hours. So I hung out at the venue for a little while.

More D1 drivers to particpate in FD

With all the politics bleeding throughout the D1 Japanese series, its not all that surprising that some of the series’ best names are making their way to FD. This season Formula D will be making room for atleast two more D1 drivers. On the top of that list is Manabu Orido who is known for piloting the RS-R Supra during the 2005 season. Back then he finished 12th in points, but hasn’t seen any competitive action stateside since. He has, however, made a few cameos at NOPI demos.

The other?……………….

Bill Sherman may not return

After chatting with Bill Sherman last week we have to make a retraction from our Issue 3. It appears he won’t be attending the NOPI Drift series this year as of right now. In fact, Bill seems to be the top finisher in Formula D (8th) without a ride for 2008. Hopefully he finds his way into a car by the end of the season. If your looking for a driver late in the game for 2008 picking up Bill Sherman is a must!
