Atlanta has the best fans on the FD Circuit. Period!
Of course Im a little bias. Every year we step up our fan-game and this year was no exception. With 4 foot tall drawings and illustrated thumbs-up signs that lit up at night, there is not another stop on the Formula D circuit that hang with us. Period. This year was slightly different for me in the fact that I didn’t have to ‘work’ the event. Typically, Im doing media or running a booth throughout FD weekend. Although,my media responsibilities this year lay with MotorMavens, all I had to do was simply watermark, and upload Twitter pics through the weekend. Since I do that anyway, it was a breeze and I was able to actually enjoy the event itself and the company of good friends. Here’s a few pics from the weekend. The whole gallery is at the bottom. Too Rowdy

Met up with Sir Blevins this past weekend for a Icebears Hocket game.
I kept hearing good things about Sam Adams’ Octoberfest. Normally I don’t like their stuff but this was pretty good.

The Icebreaker colisuem is super tiny compared to what Im used. But the upside is that every seat is a good seat.

WTF? I looked completely cracked-out.

Blackberry cameras suck so hard in low light; blurry.

This wall was too bare. We gave it some color.

Oh hey, LOOK! People standing up, cheering because the Icebears scored a goal. Quite a concept, right? Well, some ass-clown several seats over didn’t like the fact that we were standing up cheering after the goal so he decided to complain. Long story-short, he waved a cop over and told her that he couldn’t see because we were standing up. I told the cop that there were 3,000 other people standing up too. She didn’t like that too much and escorted me out. I don’t blame her, but she obviously had a complex. The other dude got kicked out too. Too Rowdy.

After the game we took Blevins’ lady, Celena, back home so she could get up for work the next morning. On the way back out, I noticed this dude on the refrigerator. He has a lot of secret admirers.

We dropped in at the Knoxville Horror Film fest.
Local producers submitted their films for this public screening. Surprisingly they were all (except one) were very good and very inspiring.

My favorite was probably DEUS IRAE. (short clip below)

I had no idea Yuengling made a porter. Good stuff.

Chillen at Latitude which had some really rad art up on the walls. Most of which cost well over $900.

Derp.

Park Tavern Invasion

I also took quite a bit of video from the festivities but Im having some issues with the software Im using to render it. So I might post it. I might not. Either way…. pics:

I can’t imagine why this guy is still single.

Formula D Atlanta 2009 wrap-up

The entire weekend can be summed up in one picture…. this one:

Team Rowdy/dM were by far the loudest and voicefull group throughout the entire track.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it to Nashville for the “Welcome Back” event, but dM/Team Rowdy definitely held it down in my absence.

And as promised, here’s the video from this past weekend’s SEDC event. Keep in mind, this was a two day event, so this is just a fraction of a larger picture.

And some incredible pics from everyone’s favorite Albino Yeti… Marlow. I say incredible, because this guys doesn’t have $15K worth of equipment. Just simple equipment, an imagination, and one hell of an eye.

First place went to Jodin, Ron, and Nick from Drift Emporium

Andy, Austin, and Sammy put up a good fight going to sudden death with the Drift Emporium guys

Third place went to who else but TEAM ROWDY!
Huy, Shawn, and Byron were up against heavy competition and some very fast cars, but fought hard and kicked ass
