Studio Rhoad’s TT3 coverage
Studio Rhoad’s event coverage from Triple Threat 3 is up. Go. Go now. YES…… now.
Quick recap of Triple Threat 2 RD1
Following FD Atlanta, Southeast Drift held their first of three Triple Threat events in Atlanta. And with a lot of the FD drivers still in town, you can imagine how insane it got. Ive seen so many people at a Turner Field event. All in all it was a blast although I really didn’t get the car dialed in until my very last run of the day. That and the damn exahust fell of twice during the event. I have a whole ‘nother post coming on that though.
SEDA’s Triple Threat Rd.3 Recap

Hella fun weekend. Not so bad weather. Hundreds of people. Lots of new drivers. Trading paint. Getting on TV……. all in a days work.
SEDA’s Triple Threat Rd.3 this Saturday
Im kinda sad to say this, but this will be last event of the Triple Threat Series.
Good news is, however, Marcos and the SEDA boys have something cooked up already.
As for this weekend, I have no doubt its going to be a blast. Hopefully, if all goes well, we’ll be broadcasting live and the feed will actually stay up this time. The feed kept dropping last time due to power issues with one of the generators. If that same problem persits, I’ll mount the camera inside our Corolla and turn it on while we are taking laps. Hell… I might do that anyway. So, def check out the <live> page on Saturday. Oh, and I promise to take better pics and vids this time around too. Ive def been slacking on that.
Triple Threat: Round 2 this Saturday
We’ll be heading to Atlanta again this weekend for SEDA’s second round of the “Triple Threat” Series. With 57 drivers on the grid and two tandem groups, it should be an interesting event. And as always, we’ll be broadcasting live. If all goes well, Im going to hookup the webcam inside some of the drift cars (ours included).
Also… if you follow me on Twitter, I’ll be uploading random pics throughout the day.
SEDA Triple Threat: Round 1 Recap

This event made me realize just how long its been since Ive slid. The last time I was at a Turner Field event was almost 3 years ago!! Slack. However, this one made up for it. SEDA setup a 2-in-1 course which turned out pretty good. The intermediate course was a double apexed right-hander that led into a left-hand sweeper. Whereas the advanced course was a long straight into the same sweeper, but going clock-wise rather than counter clock-wise. Odly enough, many people didn’t try to the advanced course… myself included.
The event itself ran smoothly except for some minor stuff.
1. Some people were granted access into the tandem group when they shouldn’t have been.
2. Some of those fore mentioned, run 3-4 car tandems despite us telling them not too. That situation got a little heated at times because some of the newer drivers didn’t grasp the fact that no matter how good of friends you and tandem partner are, it won’t prevent his bumper from coming through your door.
3. Some guys decided to trade paint in one of the tandem runs. We’re not exactly sure how it happened, but shit happens; especially in tandem.
As for me…. my main goal was to run the intermediate course at full throttle and full lock which I was able to do. So I left satisfied. Amanda on the other hand, did not. She took a couple of runs but was having a really hard time with the clutch; its too difficult for her to clutch kick. She’s begging me to trade the 86 for an S chassis. LOL. But Chad did really well for only his second time behind the wheel of a Corolla. He spun the first time, but nailed it on the second. Good job “Bones”.
Either way, Im really looking forward to the next event at Turner; June 28th. I’d like to get some stuff done on the car, but we ended up leaving it at Chad’s girlfriend’s house. It saved us a lot of $$$ on gas and the headache of driving it back a forth.
Video Huy took of my last run. Thanks Huyner!!!

Will be broadcasting live this Saturday
Well, due to some technical issues and lack of planning, we haven’t been able to broadcast from the last two events. However, it looks like Im going to have better luck this Saturday when I attend the Triple Threat event at Turner Field. If you are unable to attend, but don’t want to miss any of the chaos, go to the <broadcasting page> on Saturday and watch everything live from your keyboard-drift-chair
Also, for what its worth, I’ll probably be broadcasting my drive to Atlanta Friday night as well just to do some preliminary tests.
SEDA’s Triple Threat at Turner Field (May 31st)
When it comes to drift events in the south east, Turner Field reigns supreme. This coming May 31st (June 28th and July 26th), SEDA with some help from us (Drift411) will bringing drift mayhem back to Turner.
Im personally looking very forward to this event. Even though I have to work the event (safety and training), I still get to do some sliding. And its been a VERY long time since Ive slid at Turner. So Im beyond stoked about this. I tip my hat to Marcos (SEDA President) for pulling this together. The Atlanta drift community loves you for it. See you guys out there.
Here’s some more info about the event:
