Safety first.

This broke while coming out of the sweeper at ESN. Thanks to NSP for letting me borrow a wheel off their show car. And to Chad for letting me use his extra Momo wheel until I can get a new one.
Note to self: Stop buying cheap shit!

UnF-ck The Gulf

BP’s oil spill has really f–ked up the gulf. Birds, fish, dolphins & sea turtles are f–ked. Whole communities are f–ked. Together we can hold big oil accountable. Together we can unf–k the Gulf.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow

Ken Block’s Gymkhana THREE drops tomorrow. There doesn’t seem to be as much hype around this one. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. I hope he has better luck with the video than he did in WRC Rally Germany this past weekend. …

Cody Wellons’ S13 For Sale in Atlanta

Cody is looking to sell or trade his S13 hatch and move on to a new project. I’d really like to trade for a 1J/2J swapped SC300 with a manual transmission, although I may be interested in other RWD cars as well (350Z, GS300, etc).

Watch this or else! Andy Sapp Driver Profile ‘08

Posted 02 Oct 2008 in Videos, driftmechaniks

2008 Driver Profile – Andy Sapp. from Andy Sapp on Vimeo.

My good buddy Andy is a man of many talents. After watching this Im trying to decifer what he does better; drift or video editing. Im on the fence about it. Well, over the past two years he has been putting this together. And after a VERY anticipated release, he dropped it on world last night. Its incredible to say the least. The cinematography, music, timing, editing…. all of it is nothing short Pixel perfection. There are tons and tons of drift videos on the internet now. Most of which look and sound the same. But this one…. THIS ONE…. creates emotion. Its one of the few videos that I can watch over and over again and still get the undying urge to go drive every single time. When a work of art can do that, you know its just that….. art.

A digital short showcasing the past 3 years of my professional drift effort. Features amalgamated footage from Formula Drift and Nopi Drift events, as well as various Nopi/NDRA demos, grassroots competitions, practice events, and television appearances.

This edit is well over a year in the making. This cut is as close to perfect as I will ever get it. This entire video was edited on an iMac G5 using Adobe After Effects.

Soundtrack: SLAYER.
Custom mashup of Reign in Blood & Angel of Death.
